MHOO members receive untold benefits

Everyone knows that OSTA has moved legislative mountains over the years that have been pivotal to increased fair treatment and quality of life for manufactured home park residents.  Our name is recognized in political circles as a force to listen to. This image has been cultivated with a lot of honest hard work and sustained through our integrity, good will, networking, research, knowledge and dogged determination.  It is imperative that we not let go of the level we have achieved in this arena.

You may be surprised to learn that there is a whole spectrum of work that OSTA does that goes unrecognized, that is not discussed and that many have no idea goes on!  I am talking about technical assistance OSTA’s availability to members to answer a myriad of questions concerning manufactured home living, park co-existence, issues of fairness and general questions that often start with “I was just wondering…”.  We are here for you.  We may not be available immediately especially during the legislative season, but we will always return calls as soon as we are available.  This is an important benefit of OSTA membership a knowledgeable resource where one can receive solid information, advice and direction.

Some park owners and managers will work with OSTA to solve problems.  Obviously, there are others that will not.  We are vested in fair and equitable treatment of all manufactured home park residents.  We can also be involved in dispute resolution between park residents and/or management.  OSTA has a number of partners and resources we can call upon when we do not have the ready resources or information to help with a particular issue we never leave our members alone to cope with these issues on their own.  To quote a current television ad “You have people”, membership in OSTA sees to that!!

At $30.00 annually, OSTA membership is a value...no matter how you slice it.  It’s a low price to pay for knowledgeable and informed support in an arena that can be unnerving when problems arise.  In the same way that you are thankful for car insurance when you are involved in a fender-bender with your car, it is reassuring to know there is a place to call when issues arise concerning Manufactured Home Park living.  Besides a quarterly newsletter, MHOO/OSTA maintains a webpage where you can look for the latest information and developments in the manufactured home park world.  Read letters from other members and keep up on a variety of events in Oregon and the Pacific Northwest.
